Las Vegas officials held a press conference Wednesday revealing more information and insight into the deadliest shooting in U.S. history.
They believe the shooter, Stephen Paddock intended to escape the hotel room he was shooting from following the massacre and are actively looking for accomplices.
A Texas firearms dealer who had sold handguns to Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock in 2010 and 2011 remembers him coming into the shop last year with girlfriend Marilou Danley.
Paul Peddle, who owns B & S Guns in Garland, Texas, said Wednesday that Paddock didn't buy anything on the most recent visit but asked about a way to modify a gun to make it easier to pull the trigger.
He said Paddock had never purchased any long guns that could have been used in the attack on a crowd of concertgoers on Sunday.
Peddle said Danley didn't show any interest in guns.
He says at the city's Metropolitan Police headquarters that, "Our souls are stricken with grief for every American who lost" someone in Sunday night's shooting. He added, "We will struggle through it together."

I am also wondering about his car. It has been reported that it had “explosives” in it - and that it was ammonia based. Last night Hannity said massive amounts of Tannerite - which is not an explosive were in the car. Blowing the car would of stopped the cops entry or even delayed them for a long while - even with Tannerite.
By the way, I think the fact that the door was ajar when the security guard came up to it is huge, if true.
Paddock would NOT have carelessly left the door to the suite open while he was busy shooting up a music festival.
Very strongly implies that someone else was in the suite and left some time before the security guard got there, leaving the door partially open as he got out of Dodge.
Paddock was left behind, perhaps he was going to follow right behind, but the security guard showed up in the meantime. And then Paddock opened fire on the guard, and then shot himself.
Did this second person, if there was one, have another room in the hotel he went to? Was he an employee of the hotel?
Rumors in the gun industry are that she was often with him at gun stores. I suspect that gun store video will emerge soon.
I'd like to know more about the particulars of this. The Sheriff said the door to the 32d floor was not welded shut, but was secured, whatever that means. From which direction? Did the second person 'secure' it on his way out to keep someone from following him?
I agree any second person likely could not have escaped after the security guard showed up, if there was such a person he must have left in the minutes before the security guard showed up. Maybe even took the elevator.
Detonate the getaway car?
10:15 Last shots outside building.
10:17 First two officers enter 32nd floor after hotel dispatch reports guard locating room.
10:18 Officers radio guard was shot and located.
So guard must have interrupted shooter at around 10:15.
The Sheriff said the officers were only seconds behind the security guard, and would have been at the hotel room door 60 seconds later if not for the guard.
What if the job of the second person was to shoot at the fuel tanks out of the second window. He does his thing and runs out at say 10:10, leaving the door ajar.
Paddock finishes up shooting at the music crowd at 10:15. Maybe the plan was to shoot for ten minutes and no more, and then get out.
Paddock had finished shooting and is about to run out when the security guard shows up at 10:16. He picks up an unused rifle and from a prone position unloads a mag through the bottom half of the door at the guard. He then sits up and shoots himself with the revolver, and the rifle ends up resting on his leg.
The cops immediately arrive and all is quiet from that point up.
Sounds like he got left to be the patsy. It’s happened before.
Wonder where the car was parked in relation to his sniper nest.
Apparently the security guard first tried that stairway door. He could not get on floor. So he went down to 31 and rode elevator up to 32. But they also claim he found room door barricaded. Have not seen left ajar reported anywhere.
Much easier to blow up tanks by driving car near tanks. Throwing explosives near tanks along with an explosive timer. Or shooting at an explosive loaded bag near tank from a few hundred yards. Or driving a suicide vehicle wired to explode. Shooting tanks from window was just a dumb idea. Only way it would have worked would be if explosives were taped to tank and fired at.
They wanted hundreds dead. He probably figured 20 minutes of shooting as tanks exploded or caught fire. Good night and stay safe.
Anti Trump for sure. The dude was laundering money or selling drugs. He paid for everything in cash.
>So his plan was to disappear and meet up with his gal pal somewhere overseas?
Not hard when you can fly your plane. They’d be looking for someone else since he didn’t register in his name.
Set off yes, catch on fire? Easy. Put some holes in it and then hit the tanerite.
And enough tannerite to blow up 1/3 of the building. I haven’t heard where the car was parked.
The Tanks are Double Walled.
Maybe he was hoping for a “center fuel tank”explosion from the low voltage wires... < /S >
good one
Let’s get the FBI right on that...
Heck, all they gotta do is borrow and edit the cia video. A 3 year old can do that.
You conspiracy THEORISTS. TWA 800 was decades ago. Just because the gubermint under BJ Clinton lied to America does not prove that the gubermint would lie to us today.
The Vegas gunman had no ties to anyone, he was a lone shooter. It is the official story and you should NOT think anything different until you are TOLD WHAT TO THINK. /sarc
