Commuters travelling in South-West London experienced delays Monday morning after passengers on a train forced open the doors and ran onto the tracks to escape a man with a bible. The incident took place near Wimbledon station, as a passenger on a packed commuter train started reading lines from the bible. Another passenger asked the man to stop because he was scaring others, but it was already too late and panic had set in. The Bible reading man was questioned by police after the train reached the station but was found to be carrying only books and water, and was not arrested. An eyewitness to the incident told The Guardian newspaper the well-spoken and calm preacher started reading from the old testament and told the carriage: Ladies and gentlemen, Id like to talk to you about something and that something is the word of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Hes here to heal your sins. The Bible tells you that homosexuality is a sin and sex before marriage is a sin. You need to repent. Fellow commuters in their panic prised open the train doors and climbed down onto the track to escape the man, forcing the rail operator to turn off power to the area to prevent anyone being electrocuted. The power isolation ultimately delayed hundreds of thousands of commuters, according to reports.

You wanna see real panic? Just wait till someone says “Merry Christmas and God bless”
Christians always refer to the gospel as offensive, but in the formerly Christian West this is sadly becoming an existential reality.
If reading the Bible in Britain caused this much commotion, they should immediately prohibit the reading of the Koran aloud, or shouting alahu akbar after someone sneezes!
“What’d he say?”
“He said the world is coming to end.”
“Well, we’ve got to get out of this train, then.”
One of the two witnesses????
Were they all running to attend church?
When I rode the Washington DC Metro, a Korean fellow would sometimes stand in the middle of a car and sing a Christian hymn at the top of his voice. He would sing one hymn, then get off at the next station. No one ever panicked.
London is lost. Maybe forever.
Sad. I feel sorry for the normal Britons.
It’s called Conviction.
Most Brits probably no longer can tell the difference between the Bible and the Koran.
What’s that old poem about making Saxons angry or something?
Apparently no longer applies in Britain.
Watch ‘em run when the Two Witnesses show up...
I've ridden the London system many times and oddballs are not nearly as common there as they are in America.
Maybe he was quoting Ezekiel 25:17.
A ringing testament to the power of Scripture.
The Word of God has that effect on demons.
“Christians always refer to the gospel as offensive”,
I Peter 2:7-8
