Evil is evil - what’s to “understand”?
There is a human nature that can strive to walk with G-d, and there is a base nature that can ignore any attempt to know G-d or worse strive to oppose what is G-dly, as if it is of no consequence to the individual who does so. When we REFUSE to walk back from the later, we have in essence abandoned G-d and consequently He us.
It’s possible he believes that none of the 300 will punch back.
That is curious.
I recall a quotation, “In order to understand the past you must first forgive it”. The irony is that it is a Jewish quotation.
Whether motivated by Islam or he was a liberal social justice warrior, there are already explanations for WHY someone might do this.
1. The world is evil because of those unbelievers, and killing them makes the world better by removing them from it and scaring others from following that belief system.
2. The world won’t be worth living in unless those unbelievers are killed, so it is acceptable to risk one’s life for the benefit.
3. If you die in the process, you become a holy martyr and may go to heaven for “killing Hitler”.
I don’t have a problem with any of that.
For at least parts of it to be true, a person has to buy into the classic Leftist dogma being bandied about these days.
The Democrats have a lot of blood on their hands, as they tweet about clean handed guilty Conservatives.
