The true character of a leader is often revealed during terror and tragedy. There was unfortunately plenty of both in Las Vegas overnight, but President Donald Trump’s message to law enforcement has provided a glimmer of optimism on a very dark day.
Late Sunday night, a gunman opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers from a high vantage point in the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. In the chaos, at least 58 people were killed and hundreds were wounded.
The president has made several statements since the tragic event unfolded, but one of the most candid was a phone call to Las Vegas Metro Police Department Sheriff Joe Lombardo.
Trump’s call was captured by another cell phone, and a video clip of his message was shared by the city of Las Vegas.
“The fast response that you gave, saved hundreds of additional people from being killed,” Trump told Sheriff Lombardo directly.

Someone took a video of the police chief(?) listening to the call, presumably on the speaker.
“The true character of a leader ..” Well right there we knew it would not be a positive article about Obama because Obama was not, is not and never will be a leader. An agitator yes, a leader, no. Obama, in eight years, never displayed a single characteristic of a leader. President Trump on the other hand is a born leader.

Scanners used to to able to pick up cell phone conversations..don’t know if that still true?
My only gripe with the aricle (feom a conservative site yet) was “and hundreds were wounded”.
That just advances the Media’s latest meme. They weren’t ALL “wounded” - that implies gunshots. Sure, some of them were hit, but I suspect when the info comes out, most of these unfortunate people were injured in the melee to get out of the range of the gunfire.
The push to a useless ban so-called “assault rifles” will only be aided by constant references to people being “wounded”.
