Hillary Clinton on Monday criticized Republicans and the National Rifle Association for stopping gun control policies, speaking out after a gunman killed 59 people at a music festival in Las Vegas.
When asked in an interview with the Center for American Progress' Thinking CAP podcast whether Republicans and the NRA are complicit in an epidemic of gun violence, Clinton said "of course they are."
"This is nothing but pure, unadulterated greed motivated by people who want to sell as many guns as they can, to engage in a falsity of fear and rhetoric about why everybody has to have guns," she said, according to an excerpt. The full podcast episode will be released Thursday.
"You know, the evidence is just so clear that more guns do not keep you safer and more guns in the wrong hands lead to terrible incidents," she said.
Clinton criticized the Trump administration, for example, for repealing an Obama-era regulation that stopped certain people with a background of mental illness from obtaining firearms.
"We see the horrors of Las Vegas," she said. "It happens every day."

Exactly. The only difference is that liberals (in both parties) condone the murder of babies, give the murderers special protection, and insist that tax payers subsidize the murders.
I am 77 years old. There were at least 7 long guns in the house I grew up in.
NEVER did any of us worry that any of those guns would be used for anything except hunting—or in case of an intruder.
I know people who have had guns all of their lives—in my age range—and they have never harmed a single person.
How many years has Shrillary had some sort of bodyguards or other protection...since Arkansas & forward. No one can get near her-—but many of us live where we would be lucky if cops got here within 20 minutes.
Alot can happen in 20 minutes. Until the deputies show up, I am on my own to take care of what ever situation might need a weapon to save me.
YOYO—you’re on your own is the mantra most of us in the USA live under. At least having a gun might even the odds.
I am truly tired of those who have every advantage screaming about how the rest of us live.
I don’t really care if this guy had 18 guns or 108. Something set him off. IF he hadn’t had the guns, perhaps we would be talking about an arson against a large hotel instead.
Do I think he planned this? Certainly-—did he get behind in his gambling activity? Certainly possible. Did the girlfriend influence him? Who knows at this stage of the investigation. I have confidence in the Las Vegas police & Sheriff to find the answers.
The majority of everyday Americans are not a threat to anyone just because they have a gun. My neighbor left about 30 minutes ago with his grandson to go deer hunting...
Someone challenged me on this topic a few years ago. Said how “unsafe” and “threatened” they felt around guns & the people who had guns.
I asked this person-—who had gone with me in my vehicles—eaten at my home—etc—DO YOU FEEL SAFE WITH ME?
Sure, he said. Then you are beyond stupid in one direction or the other.....I have been around guns ALL of my life—how come you didn’t feel unsafe with me?

I am sorry for all the people who were killed or injured in this attack. But— the guns are not at fault. The person who fired the guns is at fault.
IF Shrillary is so certain that the gun is the problem—how come she didn’t call for a ban on autos—particularly Oldsmobiles—when Ted Kennedy killed his vehicle companion in an Oldsmobile?
She has no room to talk about how evil anyone else is...

Well no, she won't. Some states are so indigo-blue that they are hopeless. But she sure isn't going to win back the Deer Hunter states with that rhetoric.

She’s certainly likely still wanting to steal, manipulate, buy the Presidency. I don’t argue with that. Just spring-boarded off your post to note she’d like to be queen of the world, too. Her power-mongering knows no limits.
