Celebrities took to social media Monday morning just hours after the tragic Las Vegas mass shooting to call for increased gun control measures.
Breitbart News reported that the attack occurred while country music singer Jason Aldean was playing and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified the attacker as 64-year-old Stephen Craig Paddock. He opened fire on concert-goers from an elevated positionthe 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. LVMPD SWAT members burst into Paddocks room Sunday night and found him dead.
Michael Ian Black tweeted:

Stopped all of that decades ago, NFL just last year.
Thanks for the PSA.
They (the "celebrities") do it among themselves. Then they assume that everybody else is naturally joining in.
We aren't.
Whenever “celebrities” (who aren’t “celebrities” to me and to many, many others) line up on one side of an issue, the majority of Americans line up on the other side.
The liberal anti-gunners are coming to fight, it only makes sense to grab up what you can in case they are successful. I think they are going to be on something.
No law could have prevented this tragedy.
There are nuts out there shooting people and you want me to give up my security device?
Don’t tell me to call the police because you keep telling us how evil they are.
I agree we need a very strong gun control law to be enacted. OUTLAW NO GUN ZONES. Criminals seek out no gun zones to do their dirty deeds.
OK, so they get their wish and NOBODY has any weapon capable of any more than up-close self defense. So Samir al-Hajib (the shooter’s Islamic name) creates an ANFO bomb loaded with shrapnel, disguises it as a speaker, food cart or some other mundane part of any concert background. When the crowd hits max he “Allahu akbars” and detonates, killing a hundred or so and injuring hundreds more. Still gets his 72 virgins.
