There's a significant problem with in Europe with German war graves being desecrated, but the primary reason is people looking to loot Nazi knives, buckles, etc, to sell on the black market. The Russian military has a program to locate and catalog graves, both German and Russian, and the German cemeteries are frequently ripped apart, with bones scattered and dogtags gone.
The left’s attack on Confederate monuments is utterly ideological in nature, and I fully expect it to reach the point where the “mainstream” left calling for the disinterment and erasure of Confederate remains before this is over.
