He was randomly shooting into a crowd. He wasn’t trying to assassinate a specific target in the crowd. Understood. I'm not arguing the lethality of the event. I'm arguing that these were select fire weapons and not bump-fired.

Perhaps, but I don't think that your argument is valid. You don't need to aim very well to hit random people in a crowd of 22,000 people who cannot easily or quickly disperse.
