Sometimes they need someone quick, articulate and updated on the topic to get down to business and cut through the silliness.
They would prefer to have a slightly p/o , exasperated guest
than someone who writes great books or movie scripts, but tends to give one word answers, is flat in tone and not at all spontaneous.
Sometimes I’m in the other mood, where I laugh with them at life’s absurdities.
My only expertise would be talking about something 99.9999 % of the population knows nothing about. As for the show, they could not suffer a belligerent guest knowing more than they do.
