I do remember that. But I don’t see why it must be that way.
To have what in essence is almost a mission statement, that no previous crimes will be investigated, sticks in a lot of craws, and leaves a bitter taste of serious injustice. Rule of man, not rule of law; too big to prosecute, etc.
But it’z a reality when it comes to political capital. Only so much in a normal admin, & Trump has less cuz of the haters.

Same here, corruption is corruption and to let these astounding levels of corruption go because we don't want the appearance of being a banana republic, is crazy.

I’ll interject because some people think Trump must ‘lock her up!’. Looking through the thread I see the common concern of a double standard.
‘Lock her up!’ is a slogan meaning she is a lawbreaker. And she most certainly is. It was an effective campaign slogan because it reminded voters that Clinton is a criminal, a liar, and she most certainly is.
LS is right and wrong. To go after her lowers the prestige of the United States to Banana Republic status.
On the other hand, people see a double standard and are confused or led to believe that the powerful are not subject to the laws that everyone else is.
There are at least two things holding Trump back:
1. Trump always waits until he is attacked first. Right now it is a standoff between he and Mueller. He has been hinting through surrogates in the press that Obama may be the first President to be indicted for espionage (illegal spying on Americans). So he’s got his gun drawn.
2. One fact that most Americans do not know is that Hillary Clinton has $2 billion stashed in Malaysian Banks under the control of Fethullah ‘Feta’ Gulen who has more than $40 billion in Malaysian banks and he is in the USA with hundreds of Islamic ‘schools’.
Gulen is a bad, very bad guy. He was instrumental in addicting thousands upon thousands of Soviet soldiers in Afghanistan with his opium products. His approach was that the greater powers could be taken down with the needle.
Gulen is doing the same in the USA now, by addicting the population and weakening them, he aims to demoralize and cause sickness and disease with his needles.
Trump has on more than one occasion called out the opioid crisis in the US. The liar media has kept it buried.
The opium products are also in the VA system and are often stocked by SEIU employees. Vets have been dropping like flies because the products are swapped out for Gulen’s unapproved products that are 10 X or are .10 X the approved products. The motive is revenge and profit. Dead vets are hounded in VA hospitals as if it is their duty to be organ donors. After they are overdosed or underdosed and are dead, their harvested organs are worth nearly $1 million, hence providing a profit motive for their early demise.
Sound like conspiracy drivel? If you believe this is a conspiracy fantasy, then you haven’t seen how evil certain persons can be in this world, and such evil is now on US soil in force.
This second factor should hold Trump back while Gulen is outed for his role in killing vets along with his ties to Hillary and her ties to him. In other words, there’s a lot more going on than meets the eye. Think Mena-Iran-Contra X 100.
Personally, I would love to see Hillary indicted and Obama publicly shamed and humiliated. But after studying Trump, I can safely say he’s not interested in gaining emotional lynch mob points, he’s interested in winning. Still, the problem of the double standard at some point needs to be addressed. Perhaps NYPD or FBI Field offices will get it done, leaving Trump above the fray and focused on positive things.
