Put military boys in there to drive the trucks.
Sounds easy enough.
Except logistics.
Puerto Rico has a population of 3.4 million
About 20% more than Chicago
Chicago has an area of 234 mi²
Puerto Rico has an area of 3,515 mi²
Our military is already involved with normal aid operations.
Not just in PR but USVI.
Where do we draw all these people from?
How do we transport them to PR?
Where do we get the added equipment and personnel to transport them?
What about the logistics of supporting them, housing, food, etc.?
It's one thing to just grab 1,000 guys to do an operation.
It's another thing to figure in all the other logistics.
Yep. There are truckers here in the States that would do it as well. Of course those guys would need military support and protection because the union goons would try and stop them.
