Not white’ has nothing to do with race. It’s the protestant work ethic. It just so happens that for a while, protestants were white. Now the protestant work ethic is just as strong among black Kenyan and Nigerian Christians.
And it, being biblical, sprang from the Jews... who are Semitic.
Chinese have it too...
So do Koreans... oh, so do...
Maybe what should be discussed is the “anti-work ethic” and where that comes from.

I prefer to use the term “Northern European work ethic.
You will no doubt realize that I am Catholic and my immigrant German ancestors worked plenty hard.
Actually the ‘work ethic concept’ arose from the idea of equality and the abandonment of a class system. So I credit the descendants of England who first declared rights against the King in the Magna Carta. Hard work to better oneself evolved first as an English concept and later as a north European concept. That is where the north European connection came into being, and no doubt is why it is associated with being Protestant.
