President Trump on Saturday defended his administrations hurricane recovery effort in Puerto Rico and cast blame on San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz who is criticizing the president's effort to get supplies, electricity and other relief to the U.S. Island.
Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help, Trump said in a series of tweets. "They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job.
Trump pledged Friday to spare no effort to help Puerto Ricans recover from Hurricane Maria's ruinous aftermath even as Cruz accused the administration of "killing us with the inefficiency."
Cruz said she wanted to "make sure somebody is in charge that is up to the task of saving lives," while the president asserted that U.S. officials and emergency personnel are working all-out against daunting odds, with "incredible" results.
Trump also tweeted Saturday: The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump.
And he tweeted: The military and first responders, despite no electric, roads, phones etc., have done an amazing job. Puerto Rico was totally destroyed," and, "Fake News CNN and NBC are going out of their way to disparage our great First Responders as a way to "get Trump." Not fair to FR or effort!"
Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossello, a Democrat, has said the administration is being responsive to the island's needs and on Saturday appeared to try to deflect questions about Cruz's comments.
He suggested the Trump-Cruz issue was to his "side" and said his message is that he's "here to help"

Now this is an accurate headline - not the “Trump slams Puerto Rico” narrative.
Donald the Brave, going where no one else has the courage to go in criticizing this hysterical woman who has no business being in charge of anything but her cat.
La Verdad es la Verdad was live.

I would think being “mayor” would come with some responsibility.
so that’s it - Union greed is keeping aid from getting to suffering people.
Trump needs to retweet that and call them out.
Amazing how everyone wanted the Jones Act waived yet this union is unwilling to budge. Unions are the scourge of a free society.
Good to hear Trump fired back at this mayor. She should spend a bit more time working on the recovery effort and a little less time whining to CNN.
Here's is Puerto Rican City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito honoring the terrorist who killed people in the name of Puerto Rican independence, yet Melissa Mark-Viverito is bashing Trump now as well. Oh, so NOW it's a different story. First you want independence from the USA, oh but not right now, now you changed your mind, right? Effin b*tch.
Here they are honoring him like he's a martyr...
Some of Riveras handiwork....
Notice the same reaction in Puerto Rico and New Orleans with Katrina victims. Let me see if I can figure out the common denominator. Anyone....Anyone???
The USA has 10,000 Rescue workers in Puerto Rico and can't get local police to show up and can't get truck drivers to help move supplies from the airport. Reports are that the people have not begun to clean up the streets and passages 10 days after the storm passed.
Puerto Rico has 40% unemployment. 1/3 of the people work for the government. They are by design New York South.
There is a reason that Puerto Rico is in so much debt and that tells me a lot about the people of Puerto Rico. For years the P.R. people have looked to the US taxpayers to bail them out. That same attitude is shown by the Mayor of San Juan who attacks Trump for not doing “anything” more or less. She refuses to see the inability to distribute food, water, medicine, etc., because so many roads/ bridges, etc. are down or closed. There is little electric power to provide communication services. YET this mayor attacks Trump as those he is responsible for all this and hasn’t done anything.
Surely you jest........Responsibility is to Trump Bashers and haters in NYC and all the other hell holes that house Democratic Rican voters with the intent to get more votes so they can get more free stuff. Period.
CNN MSNBC have been running this Trumps fault narrative since b4 the storm hit and are now full bore
PR was a shit hole b4 the storm, now it just a bigger one. Like all the other Caribbean Nations the only fairly decent areas are the tourist areas. Go off the beaten path and its all squalor.
Being in the CG serving in that region for years I have seen both sides of all these crap Islands and they aint pretty.
Anderson Pooper is too white to he on TV. He is more thsn just a microaggression.
Th slut on the left in the top photo has been all over CNN MSNBC this morning shooting off her big mouth.
President Trump Speaks and Tweets the TRUTH!
PR is nothing other than a liability to the United States, they haven’t contributed anything to the Nation. If they don’t like all the support that Trump has given and is giving, - then President Trump should pull his FEMA team out immediately! Ingratitude is the inherent trait from these “Leeches”, and the Nation has absolutely no obligation what-so-ever... to help these PR ignoramuses!
The local ABC news here in Orlando keeps saying the PR truckers all had their homes blown away and so cannot come to the ports to drive the trucks. Amazing how social media is getting the real scoop on what is preventing the help from getting to the people. Rick Scott here in Fla. is sending Floridian trucks and they should have big signs painted on them “Florida truckers Help Because PR Union Truckers Won’t!”
He is surely a white devil filled with white racism and hatred for people with any color in their skin!
