Wait a second. Isn't Gen. Silveria's immediate subordinate (the Commandant of Cadets, Brig. Gen. Kristin Goodwin, USAFA Class of '93) a lesbian woman married to another lesbian woman (her "wife") and they have 2 kids (not their own, obviously) and they are living openly together in Base quarters?
I'm not confused about the moral outrage on the one hand - but I am confused about the lack of moral outrage on the other. It appears writing the "n" word is more of a moral outrage than an open, perverted sexual relationships among the very high ranking person who is supposed to be the military caretaker and example to all cadets in the Wing.
General Silveria might better get off his high horse and think of just what constitutes a "moral outrage" in all cases - not just the most recently politically correct one.
General George Washington certainly would not be confused by all this moral jiu-jitsu and high dudgeonry. My guess is he would roundly condemn both.
Beautiful post. Par four is fabulous.
Good point.
What is the demographic breakdown of students who attend this Prep School? These are students who didn’t make the cut to attend the USAFA. They are given ten months of school to try to qualify. I would like to see a yearly breakdown of demographics of students at this school. Do the other academies have similar programs?
Excellent post.
Well done.
