I think most American black people, at least some that I’ve spoken with, understand and know this fact. African and Caribbean blacks can’t stand American blacks.
My Kenyan neighbors feel the same; even the lower-status folks like the nannies for the Kenyan professionals. Direct quote from a fully employed, blue-collar Kenyan (naturalzed American citizen): "When I need to get something done, I look for a white person!"

I traveled through 8 West African countries, mostly by bush taxis (very old cars where you rent a seat). Most of the time there were guys from Senegal, Nigeria, Mali etc. They all hated each other and there were a couple fights. One landed me in jail for a couple hours at the border between Senegal and Mali (Kidro) just for being in the same car. The Nigerians think they’re above everyone and so do the Senegalise. I was confronted by a group of Mali in Mopti and told that if I didn’t stop hanging out with a guy from Senegal they would kill us both.
Africans do not get along with each other.
I’ve got friend from Trindad. She thinks American blacks are a bunch of whiners. I suspect these foreign students aren’t buying into the “poor me” theme.
A Nigerian friend of mine married an American black woman...huge mistake, total culture clash. Dumped her, went back to the old country for a month, got a wife from there, happily married for 25 years with a great family.
