The Fort Worth Park and Recreation Advisory Board met Wednesday and unanimously agreed to re-brand a local park named for Jefferson Davis, the president of the short-lived Confederate States of America, to Parque Unidad, Unity Park. Only last Friday, the Dallas Park Board voted to strip Confederate General Robert E. Lees moniker from the park which bore his name. It will temporarily revert back to a previous nomenclature, Oak Lawn Park, until Dallas determines a new name. Why don’t they have the guts to put these things to a public vote?
Fort Worth is a Republican run town. Or at least the elected elite have presented themselves to be such.
I want names for the next election. Why vote for a donkey dressed as an elephant when we can vote for a real jackass?
Texas won its independence from Mexico once. Don’t make us do it again.
Call it Parque de los liberal as y de los idiotas (Liberals and Morons Park)
