I really don’t like the “all veterans stand up” part of sporting events. I served. Got it. No need to be clapped at before every game.

I respectfully disagree, for honoring our dear vets at sporting events is one of the few times we can publicly thank you.
I have ways to honor and support on a more private level, but so appreciate the opportunity to honor you/dear vets, publicly.
The colleges are promoting non-white schools, perhaps we’ve come full circle and we should separate once again. It is more than just Democrats or politics.
I think PK Wrigley was correct. But in a civil war, even one with a minimum of blood being drawn so far, sides are drawn sharply and some actions take on meanings beyond their rational explanation.
The Anthem in the special case of war is rendered almost meaningless when the state of war becomes perpetual.
A review of how classical Athens became a democracy and then engaged in endless wars is no longer considered desirable in education, and we pay the price.
Fair enough. I usually just sit through it anyway.
Unless my familiy is with me. Then, I stand and cheer them as thanks for them following me all around the globe for nearly 30 years.
