I agree. It may be slightly cheaper, but having to still carry the essential package is really the issue. Get rid of that as well and then the savings will roll in.
What would prevent the 3-5 big players from just consolidating their 30-50 state corp.s into one massive corp and continuing to drive up prices while crushing competition and making it impossible for anyone new to ever enter the market?

Bingo, they killed HSA’s & Direct Primary Care vs Medicaid expansion in MI. They told the Rinos either you vote with this or your money dries up, and they got one to flip after months of holding out. I have their policy right now, I have no choice, wish I didn’t imho they can pound sand.
