Heres harrowing news for the sexually active: sexually transmitted diseases are getting out of control.
In its annual STD Surveillance Report, the Center for Disease Control saw a record increase in the number of infections of three sexually transmitted diseases in the U.S. -- chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis.
Syphilis, in particular, is seeing massive outbreaks in places like Fresno, CA, where the disease was almost nonexistent six years ago, according to The Fresno Bee.
In July, the World Health Organization issued a warning about the global rise of drug-resistant gonorrhea.
Thats the one that produces a burning sensation and a white, yellow or green discharge in men. There were 470,000 gonorrhea cases reported in the U.S. last year, FYI.
Typically, the disease can be treated with one of several antibiotics, but the WHO is now seeing strains that have evolved to resist most commons antibiotics, NBC reports. A few are almost completely untreatable.

Gee...it's almost like we learned that indiscriminate fornication was bad for a society especially in orifices not specifically designed for that activity.
Who knew?

Then the gay community should be terrified, they provide the perfect petri-dish environment for new mutations. That’s how bacteria adapts, they constantly mutate but most will die from the same antibiotic, but even if immune, if they aren’t passed on they die. Eventually a mutation happens that current drugs can’t kill. When that happens AND it gets passed around it then becomes a problem.
...and in the gay community, the sheer number of partners they have, along with no protection creates this situation. Of course, then bisexuals pass it on to the hetero population.
It’s just science and statistics, not hate.

Heres harrowing news for the sexually active:I am sexually active, and this news doesn't bother me at all. OH, wait, I am married and only have one sex partner. So its not the sexually active that need be worried, its the sexually indiscriminate. The sexually promiscuous are the ones who need to worry. Why mince words?
