I had always viewed flyovers as a dramatic amplification of the "patriotic high" I get from saluting the flag and singing the National Anthem.

Curiously, I always viewed flyovers as a service to patriotic fans -- and not to the team or the NFL...

Of course, cutting off flyovers and color guards would probably suit the kind of anti-American "fans" that would attend a kneeling felon's game just fine -- plus cutting the team/league expenses -- and rewarding anti-American behavior.

Sorry -- I don't see the effectiveness in your proposal. Please enlighten me...

Re my #39: having read through the thread, I better undertand your position -- especially if the NFL is charging the military for the 'privilege' of providing flyovers and color guards.

However, I'd still like to see a flyover -- of two fighters: one per sideline, to let loose a 20 mm burst up the sideline -- right in front of the kneeling felons.

If that isn't effective, the next flyover should be a pair of A10s with GAU-8s... '-)

Perhaps that would wake the imbeciles up to who and what they are dishonoring.
