Pretty amazing that they have been able to bring some of the turbines damaged by ISIS back on line.

Progress is held up because of mines that remain in some parts of the facility. And by the continuing battle in Raqqa. These are large cities that depend upon this facility and the Euphrates River for water and power.

It sounds like the water supply issue has been worked out.

I worked in power plants all over the world in my 20s and, thankfully, didn’t have to worry about land mines and mercenary raids.

Trump can’t eradicate these ISIS savages quickly enough. There’s nothing those bastards won’t destroy - peace, serenity, normal life, statues, drawings, artwork, libraries, electricity. All they create is misery and sorrow.

Well, it sounds like the dam is working again for control of the water (critical for agriculture and flood control), and now starting to produce some fraction of the needed electricity for the region.

Getting that dam producing enough electricity will be essential to making Raqqa habitable after liberation. Tap water won’t pump through the city without that electric power.

It has been over 100 days that the main power and water have been out in Raqqa.
