Well,... maybe some of them. “:^)
We knew pedophilia would be next.
Or the teacher cougar lobby per all the teachers getting some out there...
Can’t argue with that.
Never saw it coming to this extent either.
sure as heck dont look like the teachers I had!! most of them are in early to mid 20s! mine were like 50s
For the most part I had older ones too.
Funny thing is, people in their late 20s looked like grandparents at the time.
LOL
at 48, I resemble that remark...
“:^)
Right on schedule....the normalization of pedophelia.
Interestingly in the very popular recent novel "The Reader," one of the not-much-remarked-upon subthemes was that the 15-year-old boy is negatively influenced for life -- limping emotionally for decades later --- because of his romantic/erotic relations with a sexy woman in her 30's.
As I said, it was sub-theme, not the whole burden of the book. But it portrays the sexually "lucky" kid as subsequently being unable to trust, to allow his emotions to connect with a spouse or sexual partner, to give fidelity or warmth or loyalty, to form an enduring bond.
It mentions almost in passing that after his cold marriage and divorce years later, he realizes he's wounding his small daughter -- maybe replicating in her his own woundedness --- and he seemingly can't do otherwise.
Just a novel, I know: but in my observation, true to life in that particular detail.
Yes, early "affairs" can stunt boys and men for life.
Hollywood has been sexualizing ‘children’ for decades. Toooo many young girls grow up believing ‘sex’ is what makes them ‘hot’. Unfortunately, what gets stuck in a 11 year old brain is set for life. Any person messing around with legally underage persons, ought to be shot, male or female... just because the underage is ‘willing’ does not mean they are mentally prepared for this step in life.
Yes, there was a time when children were raised to take on life’s responsibilities at a much younger age than in modern times, especially girls. It does not mean it is best for the girl or boy.
I am not the least bit surprised a ‘study’ would be done. ‘Studying’ minors having sex, speaks to a depraved mentality. Particularly, for those who like to write long papers on the big difference, between post pubescent and pubescent sex assaults. Some are in for a big shock as to how God will judge the paper writers, and those that groom pubescent children for a post pubescent encounter in the name of ‘holy father’.
Comedy?
In an agrarian society, females who are physically mature enough to have babies are also socially mature enough to marry. Their role is clear, and honored; their competence is respected; the marriages last.
That's nothing like what we're talking about now.
Maybe not to the minors, but if anyone molested my sons and daughters, I’ll cause harm to them...
No.
Many states have a +4 rule (15 can sleep with 19, 16 with 20, 17 with 21 and then 18+ is free game). I can’t speak to the scientific attributes of whether that makes sense. Personally, I think 40 and 16 is fine, too. 200+ years ago people were married by 16.
Convict one weener and here it comes. I’ll skip the emotional and mental issues this could create and jump straight to the numbers. What effect would legalizing sex with minors have on sexually transmitted disease rates. I’m just a small town pizza lawyer but I’d say it would not be good.
Can being the key word. Those some 15 year olds can be just as stunted sleeping with another 15 year old - in fact they are probably more likely to get pregnant (assume a 30 year old would require protection). And even if you don’t condone it, I hardly find labeling someone permanently on the sex offender list for a 21 year old sleeping with a 16 year old, which is what many states do.
I get that they were wives, my aunt was married at 15, her husband was 21... thats just like this article, except for the married part.
they ve been married 68 years.. i think she turned out just fine.
During my time in that class, I knew porn was NOT a victimless crime. One runaway, we talked to (about 11) was found a day later floating in the East River.
