Remember when Democrats considered it shocking and downright insulting for McCarthy and others to DARE question the patriotism and loyalty of those within the US military and State Department?
In McCarthy’s case, he was 100% spot on correct with his accusations. And to reiterate: He did not advocate prosecuting these people or putting them in jail. He simply thought they shouldn’t be allowed to hold sensitive (or any) government positions, allowing rightly that these people were in favor of overthrowing the republican form of government.
McCarthy should be celebrated as an American hero, and I don’t use the word “hero” lightly. He bought this country at least 56 years of breathing space from the scourge of communism, but in 2008 that all changed.
I still cannot believe this is for real. I just cannot bring myself to believe it. It has to be a hoax. Can anyone verify this is 100% true?
