That's what I was afraid of. That he would walk out of the courthouse and have his "day of reckoning" delayed indefinitely, which means he may never actually serve a day behind bars.

Usually when a convict is sentenced, they slap the cuffs on right in the courtroom and take you down to the jailhouse for processing.

If that didn't happen today - then that's just not right. Once again, he is getting special treatment.

Actually he’s following Federal procedure for white collar convicts. He’s been sentenced to 21 months, to start both no later than Nov. 6, 2017. If you want to know a little about how this works with a plea bargain, like his, read “Orange is the New Black”, the autobiographical book that’s the basis for the cable series with the same name. Once the author of that book made her plea deal for a drug money running offense, she was given a specific period of time to report to a Federal prison camp to serve her sentence. Looks like Weiner’s getting the same kind of deal, but with a longer sentence.
