Agreed. Good questions to ask:
1.) What was the age of death?
2.) Did the person exhibit any unusual behaviors indicating CTE?
3.) Was the player convinced to donate their brain to research by their family who saw symptoms?
4.) Was the player convinced to donate their brain to research by a lawyer on behalf of the family, who were told the estate might benefit from a lawsuit?
These people make it sound like they were Marty Feldman just taking random jars of brains from football players off of shelves and doing an analysis. At least Igor could claim he simply misread and thought he was taking the brain of Abbey Normal. I doubt these people could make such a claim.
