In 2016, the estimated number of murders in the nation was 17,250. This was an 8.6 percent increase from the 2015 estimate, a 16.1 percent increase from the 2012 figure, and a 0.7 percent rise from the number in 2007. (See Tables 1 and 1A.)

There were 5.3 murders per 100,000 people in 2016. The murder rate in 2016 was up from the rates in 2015 (7.9 percent) and 2012 (12.8 percent).

This is the big annual crime report released by the FBI each year. There will surely be mainstream news articles about this report today, but I'd rather go right to the source. The news is not good - this was the second year in a row of steep murder-rate increases in the US. In raw numbers, the FBI reported 17,250 murders in 2016, compared to 14,164 in 2014. As a per capita rate, it has risen from 4.4 per 100,000 people in 2014 to 5.3 in 2017. That's a very rapid rise.

I’m thinking that the 8 years of race-baiting by Obama had a major effect on the murder rate. Incidents like what happened in Ferguson (hands up, don’t shoot Michael Brown), Florida (Trayvon Martin, just walking around with Skittles), and Baltimore (Freddie Gray) were all cast as examples of police brutality when it was thugs acting like thugs in every case. To a population indoctrinated to view everything as racism, these incidents were the cause of rioting to decrease police activity in their neighborhoods. And decreasing police activity in crime-ridden neighborhoods is hardly the way to decrease crime.

Too bad they didn’t include the names of the cities where all these murders are taking place. I would venture a guess the overall vast majority are in DEMODUMMIE controlled cities with heavy ethnic groups of people.

FBI - Expanded Homicide Data Table 2: When the race of the offender was known, 53.5 percent were Black or African American, 43.9 percent were White, and 2.6 percent were of other races. The race was unknown for 5,574 offenders.

The scorecard for the year is Whites 5,004. Blacks 6,095. "Other" 291. Unknown 5,574. By "Ethnicity", Hispanics 1,533. Non-Hispanics 5,566. Unknown 5,447.

The reason the "Ethnicity" figures don't make a lot of sense is " Not all agencies provide ethnicity data; therefore, the ethnicity totals do not equal the total number of offenders." That seems to mean that where the ethnicity of the offender was known, Hispanics killed 1,533 people but this is probably low.

Once again, no breakdown by religion this year.

If you go to the link in post 4 (next one after yours), then select “Known Offenses”, then choose Table 6, you can view (or download an excel spreadsheet) offenses by Town/City in all the States. It even gives the current population from which rates can be calc’ed. I haven’t had time to study the details, but I think this will provide the evidence for your theory.

seacapn :".. As a per capita rate, it has risen from 4.4 per 100,000 people in 2014 to 5.3 in 2017. That's a very rapid rise. "

Considering the rise of youth gangs, BLM, and the departure of the most divisive president ever,
this is a significant increase.
For those who doubt the effect of this rapid rate of rise, imagine if this was the rate of inflation, instead, and then how it would effect your income.
