Donald Trump has renewed his attack on NFL stars kneeling during the national anthem, by urging fans to stop going to games "until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country".
In tweets posted on Sunday morning, the US President told fans if they boycott matches "you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!"
He added: "...NFL attendance and ratings are WAY DOWN. Boring games yes, but many stay away because they love our country. League should back US."

Mr Trump's latest criticisms of the protest brought an immediate response at Wembley Stadium, which hosted the NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars, as at least a dozen players knelt during the national anthem.
That followed the intervention of the music legend Stevie Wonder, who became the biggest single name to back the growing movement.
As he took the stage for the Global Citizen Festival, aimed at eliminating poverty, the blind soul legend knelt, joining the protest against racial injustice started by NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
The 67-year-old told the crowd: "Tonight, I'm taking a knee for America".
On Saturday night, the protest spread to another sport, as Major League Baseball player Bruce Maxwell knelt during the anthem before his team, the Oakland Athletics, played the Texas Rangers, and he later predicted more will follow.

Exactly. Football games last three hours give or take. So, say you wake up at 9 AM and go to bed at 10 pm, that’s 13 hrs of free time. Why waste waking hours watching people who disrespect or country and its anthem? Spend it reading or with the family doing outdoor stuff. Don’t spend it planted in front of the idiot box.
Well were deplorables we deserve to be mocked /s
That is a good idea.
Advise your alumni board, your legislature, your local college you are opposed to athletic scholarships and any sports teams should be made up of regular students perusing a degree — no Freshmen.
Weekends make good time for church and fellowship.
Yes, boycott the owners and advertisers that permit and encourage this. Also, like Obama did with government travel to Vegas, tell government no business travel or meetings in sanctuary states and cities. Discourage new federal jobs or facilities in those states.
Trump is a smart business guy who knows when it is time to apply pressure. He knows the majority of the public don’t like the anti American crap that these overpaid babies are displaying. He has the guts to say something about it and his following just keeps ramping up.
Stars?
The Jacksonville Jagwads?
Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha . . .
Get it right! Will ya.
Jags are owned by a raghead I believe.
Obama spent 8 long years sowing the seeds of dissent
Trump will bring in this sour harvest ad make Obama eat it
These people are too stupid to see what Hillary illustrated
It does not surprise me the idiot players will pull this crap. It does surprise me the owners allow it.
Just turned off the Ravens game. To hell with them.
It's not like he wants to put coal-miners out of work. Just grossly over-paid idiot savants.
I wish he wouldn’t have “gone there.” Not because I disagree with him (I do agree with him) but because I think it will be a net negative for him to have gotten so deeply involved in this issue. Calling fellow Americans “sons of bitches” is not something a president should do.
They could care less about football to, and thus the players. The players are just useful idiots, destroying the bridge they crossed on.
Tear it all down and haul it to the dump.
Baseball won’t put up with this shit.
No he is calling sobs sobs
