Trump is not PC. He speaks the truth, which resonates among the majority of the American people. The NFL, heavily subsidized by the taxpayers and their farm system, i.e, the NCAA, is apoplectic that the President of the United States is calling them out. The idea that the NFL is the champion of free speech is ludicrous. Let some NFL player come out about social issues with opinions that don't pass liberal muster and you will see them crackdown on the offenders. The NFL wouldn't allow the Cowboys to wear a decal supporting the Dallas police who were slain by a BLM terrorist.
The reality is that many NFL players did not want a gay player in the league.
The reality is many BLACK NFL players do not want a gay player in the league. Homosexuality is much more underground in the black community. The NFL is 70% black and the rich white owners are terrified of any racial issues.
