Yep...scarcity makes a thing a LOT more valuable. I’m with you on that basic schedule approach. 24x7 games, “analysis” (i.e. inane blather with some real stupid people), widespread virulent politics, endless black grievances. Who needs any of that giant pile of misery?

I hated the preseason this year. I cut the cord and have only over the air broadcast tv.
The NFL preseason ruined tv for me. No matter where I turned some 2nd or 3rd string players were being shown. Even the preseason is overexposed!
Monday Night Football was great at one time because they usually had top tier teams playing each other.
Now it’s just another boring game in a league with too many teams, too many games, too many commercials, too many rules, too much thugitude and too little talent.
