Rand Paul says:
In all ways, this bill is also ObamaCare Lite. In no way is it repeal the way we promised. I will oppose this bill as I did the other fake repeal bills, and I urge those who want repeal to do so, as well.
Graham/Cassidy doesnt repeal a single ObamaCare insurance regulation. All of the Title 1 rules, the Essential Health Benefit rules, all of them - theyre still in place here.
States may grovel on bended knee for some relief to the federal government, with no guarantee of success and no permanent solution beyond the current administration.
Senator Paul points out,
even the bill’s supporters admit that it will end up spending 90 percent of what the U.S. currently spends on ObamaCare.
Rand Paul - about the only real guy on the Right in the Senate.
Rand Paul has created a false image of himself and is now worshipping that image.
“Graham/Cassidy wont fix our health care problems, and it will become a permanent drain on the treasury — one that is already $20 trillion in debt, with a $700 billion deficit next year,” Paul continues.
On CNN Rand said this:
This isnt a repeal. This is keeping Obamacare and redistributing the proceeds. So, this is not a repeal bill, this is sort of, “Hey, well take Obamacare, replace it with Obamacare, but were going to let the states have a little more power in how we spend it.”
Meanwhile, he puts the country at great risk by refusing to help kick start the eventual fall of Obamacare.
Rand Paul is correct!
Here is why:
Obamacare replacement bill misses on the two most important goals of repeal
The Graham-Cassidy Obamacare replacement bill is still federal control over healthcare.
IT IS NOT A REPEAL!
IT IS OBAMACARE-LITE!
My eyes glaze over after a while, but he’s probably pretty accurate here. I’m not pleased where this is going. I know we will still have people on Medicaid, but I’d like to see the tax portions and a lot of other things stripped out.
I’d also like to see some sort of effort to strip Medicaid to the bones too.
The absolute best thing we can do, is get everyone back to work. Then they can purchase their own insurance or get on an employee plan.
Rand says, Hey, well take Obamacare, replace it with Obamacare, but were going to let the states have a little more power in how we spend it.
Block grants of money to the states to control the states!
NOT GOOD!
Here is a real good discussion on this:
“If Graham-Cassidy is federalism, undercooked chicken is medium rare”
http://thefederalistparty.org/2017/09/19/graham-cassidy-federalism-undercooked-chicken-medium-rare/
Rand should shut up and vote for it.
I’d rather they do nothing vs the replace part. Not a good move. Going to bite them in the a**.
It is not what he promised his voters. No vote for go along to get along. Stand up. Go Rand~!!!
“Sen. Rand Paul: Graham/Cassidy does NOT repeal ObamaCare and I oppose it”
“In all ways, this bill is also ObamaCare Lite.”
“Make no mistake Graham/Cassidy keeps ObamaCare funding and regulations in place.”
“Oh, it rearranges the furniture a bit, changes some names, and otherwise masks what is really going on a redistribution of ObamaCare taxes and a new Republican entitlement program, funded nearly as extravagantly as ObamaCare.”
The alternative is to be stuck with Obamacare forever. I guess that’s the plan/goal?
Yea, that sounds good!
Runs in the family.
Getting money out of Washington and to the states is a vast improvement over the status quo. Full repeal is not even remotely feasible with this Congress.
