Stunning imagination there!
I don’t know the full story. but I tend to agree.
Interesting that the daughter says she couldn’t remember what she said to her dad that set him off......I tend to think this gal has acquired some real manipulative skills along the way...
Makes me wonder what kind of consuellng she receives.
Clearly this was a case for the S-S-S strategy. Maybe with a Lorena Bobit demonstration as well.
A lot of people on this thread are like “he doesn’t deserve to be punished”.
Even ignoring the random shooting into a convenience store because he saw a guy he thought was ACCUSED of doing something wrong, this attitude is alarming.
If I see someone abusing another person, I act to stop the abuse, that’s one thing.
In this case, the abuse happened long ago. It was uncovered, there was a trial, a person was convicted and served time for the crime. Yes, seems like way too little time, but that’s how the criminal justice system works.
The argument here seems to be that if a person is convicted of a crime, and you think they didn’t get punished enough, it’s OK to go kill them.
Well, then make a reasonable argument that our LAWS should provide for the death sentence for cases of sex abuse. That will never happen, we can barely get the death penalty for mass murderers.
So we are left with law-and-order people arguing that when society will not support the death sentence for people, we should just kill them ourselves.
Well, who knows what went on during that conversation. It wouldn’t take much more than the truth to set your average dad off.
No doubt the girl has some serious personality issues.
And it is Alabama after all....:)
Sometimes a father just has to do what a father has to do. God Bless him
The only up side is he will be a hero and legend in the general prison population.
“testifying will bring back the memories”
Seems to me the memories are already back, given her divorce & obvious distress at the whole process. If she is “going thru hell”, then a little more hell to save her dad should be acceptable.
As it is, if she has a conscience, she faces 40 years of guilt & pain while her dad rots in jail. Conversely, possibly saving her dad from this fate might go a long way toward her emotional recovery & give her back some self esteem.
She should have testified, possibly resulting in jury nullification & a not guilty verdict. Surely the sentencing judge would consider her testimony.
