FULL TITLE: Former Koch Exec, Now White House Staffer, Marc Short: We Need a Conversation About Definition of a Wall
During a segment on CNN, the former Koch brothers executive turned White House staffer Marc Short said that Americans needed to have a serious conversation about what the definition of a wall is, in regards to the U.S.-Mexico border wall that President Trump promised to build.
Short, who led the Never Trump movement inside the pro-mass immigration Koch brothers organizations, questioned what exactly a border wall would look like under the administration, while also pushing amnesty for nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded by the Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
I think that what the definition of a wall is, is something that we all need to have a serious conversation about, White House legislative affairs director Marc Short said on CNNs The Situation Room.
Short said, in some cases, it would be a kind of fencing.
It is a myriad of different structures, Short said.
Short went on to describe Trumps reportedly newfound commitment to amnesty for illegal aliens, saying He feels that these are 800,000 people who came to the United States, no fault of their own, who are productive and working in American society. He wants to find a solution for them.

A conversation, yeah. For some reason I’m reminded of Hillary’s bogus “listening tours”. At this point, perhaps like the president, I’m just waiting to hear their arguments.
Sure, a “conversation” that they never wanted to have over a wall—real border security—and deporting foreigners here illegally, taking our jobs, making our roads unsafe, muling in narcotics, draining our treasury and filling our prisons and jails.
Since 1986, when they promised President Reagan border security in exchange for a general amnesty—and it turned out, for a lot more illegals than they said would be pardoned—Short and others like him have done everything they could to sweep this conversation (on any subject but amnesty) under the rug.
Despite their vicious, pejorative names directed at us, most of us here are fairly reasonable and open minded; unfortunately we can’t say the same for them.
So they can give it their best shot as to why we should continue down this path of pardoning an endless stream of illegal “immigrants” and “refugees”; I use the scare marks because we’re trying to understand how they can use these dishonest terms, day after day, and act surprised when we stay angry.
So, yeah. A conversation. But an honest one. And this is final argument. So far it doesn’t look like anything new. The wall is a given, as president Trump promised: not a flimsy fence topped with sensors bought at Radio Shack close-out, because we can’t trust a thing they say on the subject of border security. We went down that road in 2006 with the Secure Fence act which turned out to be only a sop for their failed final push for another amnesty. As plaintiffs, if they they can’t carry their burden of proof, then their little darlings have to go home.
So let’s have the conversation Marc. The federal government has been busy these past 25 years, but not by doing its job; particularly these past eight years, it has stayed busy by breaking its own laws and blocking the states from protecting themselves from uninterrupted invasion.
We don’t have all day, we’ve got a border to secure and illegals to deport. Get on with it counselor.
What the Rich Donors, the Koch Brothers,
have around their Mansions. A Big Beautiful Wall.

Pence is a globalist, NOT America First. Any support for the wall and restrictions on illegals is likely to be superficial, at best
“When someone says We need to have a conversation about.....
That is a 100% fail-proof indicator that it is a conversation wo DONT need to have.
“
Exception to your rule: We need to have a “conversation” about why Marc Short ( A former COCK BROS. exec) is a White House employee.
If they were born here they are citizens. Period.

Of course YOU are 100% correct.
My ‘fingers’ got ahead of my think machine and what I was ‘attempting’ to say was if a child was brought here at a young age and all he/she/it EVER knew was English and American ways AND contributed to society etc etc etc, they may rate a ‘longer look’ BUT the parents should be dispatched immediately and if they have a problem leaving their chilluns, take them with you.
However if ALL aid etal were taken away from your illegal hind parts, you probably wouldn’t care as much what happens to your offspring now that they are not the gravy train they were.
If TRUE - more failing.
They all speak Spanish.
They all speak Spanish.

I would venture to say not ALL of them but....
If parents bring their 3 year olds to this country and in 15 years the now 18 year old doesn’t speak FLAWLESS (well, acceptable American) English, ‘hit the road jack’
I remember growing up with a classmate whose grandparents lived in the house next to his parents and while Italian was the MAIN language in the GP (they most always spoke ‘English’ ‘when outsiders’ were around) but virtually no Italian in his parents house.
He and his brothers & sisters spoke excellent English and were good students (HIS parents made that their project) there was no doubt in the fact that my buddy was ‘very’ Italian.
He married a light haired woman and his grandkids are about the same shade as mine
Old news. Trump said during the Election there would be different structures.
When the parents don’t speak English, the kids have to speak Spanish.
The Italian immigrant story is not the same as the southern invasion.
True...just ‘pointing out’ the difference between then and now....
Parents back then ‘cared’ OR they were ‘made to care’ as part of the deal of relocating.
They ‘show up’ today with their hand out....
I sort of think it would have never have crossed my buddys mind to EVER bring an Italian Flag out as a form of protest.
Of course almost the entire Class of ‘57 did a couple of years for Unka Sugah before going on with life.
Small town USA, just the way it was.
Baseball, Hot Dogs & Apple Pie, salute the Flag and serve your country...
Immigrant mothers/fathers of the 50s:
YOU ARE AN AMERICAN— ACT LIKE ONE, BE GLAD YOU ARE HERE.
A bare wall by itself is useless. Without active routine patrolling, it will quickly be climbed or tunneled under. I am very much in favor of a physical wall where appropriate, but there are places where that is not the best solution.
And where is the money coming from to man those guard posts??. Without guards, even a wall like that is scaled easily. And even if they ARE manned, without regular surveillance, tunneling just takes more time.

99% reduction in illegal immigration.
A solid or semi-solid barrier that is difficult to climb over, tunnel under, go around or breach.
