Officers arrested an 18-year-old suspected of plotting the attack in a dramatic swoop at the port of Dover on Saturday.
The teen - who is being held at a London police station - is thought to have been a 'problematic foster child' who was allegedly arrested two weeks ago near to where the attack took place before being freed.
If true, this appears to suggest that President Donald Trump's much criticized tweet revealing the suspect was known to British law enforcement was not entirely wrong.

The chances that he’s actually a “teen” are pretty small. There are many very adult “children” among the migrants.
Is this foster “child” (aged 18) in a foster home because he is in the UK without his parents who are back HOME?

I don’t think the issue the Brits had was whether he was right or not, that was clearly going to be the case. It’s the OpSec angle of not revealing information while there’s an active investigation ongoing that is the problem.
Anything that could potentially tip off the guy being hunted (or co-conspirators) about how far along the police investigation is in identifying those involved should be kept quiet, unless cleared by those on the ground leading the hunt. You don’t take chances with stuff like this; even a small fragment of intel slipping out could mean the difference between a suspect bolting before you get to him, destroying evidence, commencing another attack or some other change in behavior that could potentially hinder the hunt.
Yes, the President was factually correct in the comment he tweeted, but there was a lack of discipline in tweeting that comment when he did.
