2005 Atlantic Hurricane season took us well into the greek alphabet and is the most active Atlantic hurricane season on record. Of note—2005 also contained the same recycled storm names as 2017 (Harvey, Jose, Maria), with the exceptions of those retired in 2005 (e.g. Katrina, Rita, Wilma, etc.)
