We might be talking here about service members who kept their transgenderism private under the old policy, and presented themselves at work as their biological gender. Once Obama lifted the ban on trannies, they came out of the closet. Now they're faced with losing their careers over an issue that they used to keep private and had they known it would've been overturned, they never would've come out publicly in the first place.
I agree. That’s likely why Mattis is leaving them alone for now.
Even if there is a complete ban, I still don’t see them being discharged, but who knows?
