U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said Friday that if diplomacy fails on North Korea, she has no problem letting Secretary of Defense James Mattis take the fight to Pyongyang.
“I have no problem kicking it to General Mattis,” Haley said at a White House press conference, explaining that despite diplomatic efforts and strong UN sanctions, the North Koreans “continue to be provocative.”
The U.S., together with its international partners, has been pursuing a diplomatic solution to the North Korea problem while maintaining that “all options are on the table.” The Trump administration has repeatedly demonstrated that it is willing to exhaust all diplomatic options before applying military force, but the diplomatic window appears to be closing.

a “neoconservative” is a former liberal that crossed political and philosophical lines during the late 50s, 60s, and perhaps even into the 70s because of the american left’s support of communism. it’s a cold war term that really has no meaning out of it’s historical context.
today, it means, “any conservative that I disagree with”. it’s so hopelessly subjective and rampantly overused as to be basically meaningless.

There is no need to get this crude and nasty. The term neocon or neo-conservatives has been widely used on this board as well as elsewhere. It refers to individuals who are left of center and pro war and often claim to be Republicans.

well, that’s actually a good point. kicking fat boy’s ass is infinitely more problematic because fat boy has nukes. and missiles. you can’t just go in and flatten his fat ass, because he could (possibly, hard to tell for sure) unleash a nuclear hell, albeit a relatively small one.
but fat boy is a living, breathing, sociopathic example of why we CANNOT let OTHER sociopathic madmen* get their hands on nukes — because there really isn’t much you can do about them once they’re nuclear.
