Oh, well - I’ll have to stick with the more expensive places to keep the wife happy....if Motel 6 said they would always make the call, she would have been willing to “rough it” to reward them...
Hey Motel 6, what other illegal stuff can we do on your property? Asking for a friend.
The nice thing about Motel 6 is that it’s pet friendly, including cats. They won’t, however, be hosting me or mine. Sigh.
Boycott time for Motel 6.
What geniuses...
Pity. They were getting such good P.R. from the story. That would have been good for them in the long run.
On Motel 6’s facebook page about 98 percent of the comments are by people who were digusted by the locations’ reporting of illegals (most often called “undocumented immigrants”) for $200, etc. This despite the statement that the chain made saying they will no longer do so. The usual response is “too little too late, we won’t stay at your chain again!” ...”I’d rather sleep in my car than stay at Motel “6” etc.
Very rarely someone says, “So, you actually are now going to help out these lawbreakers?” One comment was by someone who had a family member attacked by an illegal while staying at a Days’ Inn.
Motel 6 is about to find out the hard way one of the differences between progs and conservatives. In this case: that lefties rarely put their money where their mouth’s are. Bet the supporters of this decision won’t be booking reservations any time soon....
Good info... thanks
Yep you are correct.
....
Motel 6 and Studio 6, the no-frills budget hotel chains that once offered rooms
for $6 a night, are being sold by French parent Accor for $1.9 billion.
Their new owner, an affiliate of private equity firm Blackstone Group, already
owns Hilton Worldwide. Blackstone’s Real Estate Partners VII fund said it
plans to “accelerate the expansion of the franchise base” for Motel 6 and Studio 6.

Hmmm, do I want to sleep in a bed that had a dozen illegals that just trekked across the desert in it the night before???
My hometown road-side “No-Tel Motel” is a Hindi run joint called “Super 9” after he bought it from Super-8.
