This headline moves the goal line. Amnesty is not about citizenship. That has never been the issue. The issue is rewarding those who have broken our laws with American’s jobs, free healthcare, welfare, social security that they never paid for. Amnesty is about inducing others to flood in with or without children. They vote anyway. It has been shown the 5 million voted in the presidential election in 208. To hell with citizenship. Did you know that a law cannot be past to negate a violation of the preexisting laws. That is EX post facto and is uncostitutional as hell and is invalid. Dont let the Rino Socialist make you think they are doing good with illegal aliens because they aren’t bestowing citizenship on these criminals. That is a false argument for the mentally weak.
“Did you know that a law cannot be past to negate a violation of the preexisting laws. That is EX post facto”
The law can generally be changed to forgive, but never to punish.
However, naturalization requires a “uniform Rule”.
from Article I, Section 8:
“To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;”
That “uniform Rule” restriction absolutely forbids election-motivated pandering to immigrants, legal or illegal.
Even if Congress voted 100% to naturalize them and Trump signed the bill, it would be Constitutionally void.
The Constitution would have to be changed to legalize the illegals. That should not be done without permanent Constitutional tax and revenue caps.
“The issue is rewarding those who have broken our laws with Americans jobs, free healthcare, welfare, social security that they never paid for. Amnesty is about inducing others to flood in with or without children. They vote anyway”
One need only see what occurred in College Park Maryland yesterday to see where this is headed. The city council (not city residents) voted to allow non-citizens to vote on the basis that they are members of the community who should have a vote in the interests of that community.
“The reality is allowing all people to vote in municipal elections is going to make College Park more inclusive, and that has been the history of voting rights expansion in the United States and what has happened in our neighbors in Maryland who have expanded voting rights to non-U.S. citizens, said Todd Larson, who is in favor of the proposal.”
Anybody who thinks this municipal trend will not be pushed nationally is wearing rose-colored glasses.
If non-citizens are already voting illegally, the logic will be that we should encourage them to “come out of the shadows”. After all, as residents of the US, shouldn’t they have a voice in the governance of their country of residence?
I’ll take the shadows over any euphemism for amnesty.
