You add the sarc tag, but there are many on the left who would not only buy but advocate that argument. They do not think, they emote, and that emoting overwhelmingly favors the wrongdoer or someone who benefits from the wrongdoing.

Unfortunately, what you say is true. The reason for the sarcasm tag is that a lot of people (including some on this thread) don’t see that the “it isn’t their fault” argument that’s made for DREAMers is exactly the same line of specious reasoning as letting children keep goods that were stolen by their parents.
