ROCKFORD, Wash. (AP) -- One is dead and others have been injured in a shooting at a high school south of Spokane, Washington.
Updates from the Spokane Fire Department confirmed one died and three children were injured in the shooting. The three injured were taken to Sacred Heart and are reportedly in stable condition.

Our elementary school had Revolutionary War week. I brought one of my great grandpa’s bayonets to class. Some other kids brought RW guns. No problems. Different time.
People don’t realize just how common this is and how long it’s been going on.
My mother was a teacher in the K-12 system, primary education, in California. In the early 80’s, a couple of FBI agents entered her 7th grade classroom and arrested a student on grounds of running guns for the Mexican mafia. She decided after 43 years of teaching, to retire the next year. It just wasn’t worth it anymore.

Understood, but you are an adult. My brother and I play Fallout 4, which is wonderful in numerous ways, but has a very dark main story and DLC’s that are even darker. It’s fine for adults, but I can see where young kids and disturbed younger teenagers could be negatively influenced by such a game. Of course a game would not be the only reason a kid snaps and shoots up their school, but you bet it could be one factor.
Heck, in 1974, when I was a freshman in high school, I was on the JROTC rifle team, and we had a 50' range in the basement of the school.
I gave a gun safety presentation in my speech class, and had a rifle and shotgun as "props" for the presentation. I dropped them off at the school office at the start of the day, picked them up for class, dropped them off at the office after class, then took them home on the school bus after school.
Popular societal attitudes, ethics, and how children are raised have certainly changed for the worse since those days.

Yes when I was in HS all the guys had guns in a rack in their PU trucks. Nobody ever got shot.
If it’s true that a leftwing nutcase shot KIDS who supported Trump, this should be frontpage news all over the country. But I need to see a lot of confirmation of that theory first.

This report is of a school shooting and I’ve been watching fox news for an hour and they have not mentioned it? Why is this not on the news?
I’m 20 miles from the shooting. After watching our prissy local newsman {who pursed his lips about Trump before the election) dance around the shooting news, I’m far more inclined to believe that the shooter was targeting Trump supporters. One of the kids interviewed said she knew the fellow, and he was holding a large gun before class, but she didn’t think much about it. Oh really? I’d like to hear the truth. The shooter is dead so it won’t come from him.
