If states can ignore Fed laws, why can’t individuals ignore STATE laws..?

If they can ignore crimes that non-citizens commit, why can’t they ignore crimes citizens commit? Where is the 14th amendment?

friends and I have joked that one of us needs to run for mayor and declare our city a second amendment sanctuary. Allow people to violate all the ridiculous gun laws California has passed. Some how I don’t think La Raza...er...I mean the California legislature would be very accommodating.

Yeah, if we are going to “pick and choose” what laws to follow, if I choose to ignore state income tax law and I get enough people to join me, can we get “sanctuary” status?
