Yep - and the Red Cross is very secular and rigid with their protocols.
The brass gets overpayed and no Christians need apply.

I didn't know about the "no Christians" thing, but I am not surprised.

Perhaps they should just merge withe the Red Crescent and be done with it.

True Story. I experienced the arrogance of the Red Cross leadership between 25 & 40 years ago, and I've refused to give them a single cent since. Anyone who does is a sucker, as this current story confirms.
I responded to a domestic disaster with more money than I could really afford, then discovered that they had their own priority and my money went elsewhere.

Now all my charity money goes to the Salvation Army; over 95% of contributions goes to help feed and house the needy and respond to disasters.

You get to decide which disaster you are contributing to. Unlike the Red Cross who decides where to spend your contribution regardless of what your wishes are.

The Salvation Army are always the first responders when disaster strikes.
Anyone who still believes the Red Cross is a charity is woefully uninformed. It's more a racket.

Well, not that Christians are banned from volunteering, but I’m sure someone would be kicked out if they gave away a Bible or tried to pray with disaster victims.
I don’t trust them, either. I donate to Salvation Army or Convoy of Hope.
