Maxine Waters wins elections because the election system in California is corrupt.

No she wins elections mostly because she gets an enormous amount of actual votes plus or minus an unknown amount of corruption even after people hear her speak.

The pope and the RCC are supposed to be infallible yet everyone with eyes to see can see what this pope is. This pope did not select himself to be pope.

“The pope and the RCC are supposed to be infallible”

A Pope is only said to be infallible on certain issues of church dogma when he issues an ex Cathedra Pronouncement. To date there have only been two ex Cathedra Pronouncements.

The idea is that Jesus said, “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Therefore the Holy Spirit would not allow Satan to destroy the Church through the errors of Popes.

However, nothing that Pope Francis has said is regarded as infallible.

The pope can never claim to be infallible about everything; neither can anyone else.
You can be correct about claims and assertions without being factual.

The popes's infallibility is conditional, always has been.
