By hiring and promoting more conservatives so the diversity level on campus remains high.
At least that’s how I’d interpret it if I were an applicant.

Maybe this will help ease the long-running friction between the Swedes and Norwegians. And everyone looks down on the Dutch.

In other words, Whiteys will willingly accept the fact that they are good only for their money, that they will be beaten down, berated, and vilified, called racist and blamed for all the problems in the world.

Here’s an idea...make Iowa State take an oath to the Constitution. If they don’t, then let them figure out which country’s money they’ll get and pay for their crap.

At one time the motto/goal for Iowa Statue University was “In search of Excellence”
diversity happens as a by product of searching for excellence.
But
excellence NEVER happens in your search for diversity.

How did that state of affairs come to be?
Why is it accepted by so many who suffer because of it?
To: C19fan
When I lived in Iowa, the President of the University of Iowa wanted to raise the proportion of black students to 8%--or four times their share in the population of Iowa.
(Yes, I know that is a different university.)
To: Verginius Rufus
Because they couldn’t field a football/basketball/track team without expanding that population?

I’ll bet if you asked them to explain what “diversity and inclusion” means they would have a problem-——the words are subjective and could be explained many ways.
A meaningless “pledge”.
