He is like most politicians in that regard. Politics attracts narcissists, and is one of the easiest paths to fame and power in society - as long as you’re willing to do whatever is necessary to sustain your rise in the ranks and hold on to your position. Calling politics ‘public service’ is like calling gang leaders ‘youth counselors’.
