Unless Ryan is purged and McCain's cancer cells multiply faster, GOPe is of little help. They are not even marginally better than Dems.

When he said that they’re never going to like Trump, I was thinking he meant the Globalists, Crony Capitalists, and Progressives in the GOP.

I very sincerely believe he doesn’t care about being liked. And he is using their hatred to his advantage to get anything done. And he is doing well, Imo.

Seems President Trump has perfected his delivery, his reponses to the insanity that is the Media, The Democrat and the Republican party. Establishment and pretty much all.

Liberals hate that is what they do. They preach tolerance when they have the likes of 0bungler in office but when a conservative they hate.

Amazing how so many try to spin things in so many different directions. Trump isn’t trying to get “the” to like him -— he’s trying to get something done and send a message to Ryan/McConnell and the rest who put their own personal agendas ahead of the People.

You got it right.

It’s difficult for many to accept that this thing called the GOP is covertly occupied by persons installed by progressive billionaires who have no intention of allowing America to exist in greatness.

>>I very sincerely believe he doesn’t care about being liked.

The author is locked into his Beltway Worldview. Trump wants the American people to like him. He went to D.C. to declare war on the political class and that’s both parties.

These pundits are stuck in the past and can only think and spin things a certain way.

Progressives do not like those who are smarter than they are.
There, we have the prime reason that they hate almost everybody.

Part of the pitch to Trump from Ryan and Kelly reportedly is indeed that if he signs the massively expanded Dream Act amnesty that was introduced this summer the Nazi accusations will go away. Word is they are trying to pass it in the next three weeks. This is the bill sponsored by Democrats and the likes of Jeff Flake and Lisa Murkowski.

Trump won’t be re-elected if he signs something like that without full on immigration reform(IE merit based) and the wall. Besides, Trump knows that when you give them an inch, they’re going to take a mile. Weakness is not respected anywhere so it’s not going to happen.

There are two wings of the Uniparty: Corporate-Globalists and Socialist-Globalists.

The American people have no political representation.

Why would the president cut a deal with Democrats, a deal in which he got nothing other than the ability to say he got a deal?

This deal wasn't about expecting to become friends with the Democrats. This was about sending the Republicans, and the RINOs in particular, the message that they need to start helping President Trump accomplish something.

So far, they have been absolutely worthless. What he has accomplished was in spite of them. His message to them is, that better change, now.

IMHO.

—— a deal in which he got nothing other than the ability to say he got a deal?——

That statement negates all the rest of the blusterous article.

The President got exactly what he wanted. He got the Hurricane money. He got the debt deal off the table. He cleared the decks for concentration on tax matters.

He removed the games the various Senators insist on playing all the time. He in effect directed the focus of the Senate.

To say he got nothing illustrates gross ignorance bordering on stupidity.

Trump proved himself to be a superb gamesman by making others play his game rather than those they play over and over and over

Trump gets plenty of love from his rallies. He’s not going to let Ryan slow him down if he can cut a deal with Democrats, and this actually gives individual Dems cover if they vote for certain bills.

I very sincerely believe he doesn’t care about being liked.

I agree. I've followed Trump's career since the 1980s. He seems to feed off the hate others have for him. He's not addicted to being liked. But he is addicted to having his name in the news cycle - good or bad. He's a publicity hound! Also, despite the hate, millions of people do like him. He won 63 million votes last November and will likely get 70 million plus in 2020.

Trump is probably the savviest media expert that has ever existed. He's playing them like a fiddle. A lot of people still underestimate him.

This was done simply to prevent McConnell and Ryan from screwing Trump - again - by eliminating their opportunity to pretend to be for America in upcoming budget and debt negotiations.

McConnell and Ryan were going to push budget and debt negotiations beyond midterms. Trump gains yuuuuge leverage by requiring republicans to show where they stand _before_ the midterms.

This will produce a few primary defeats for the GOPe.

:)

How do you expect it not to happen? For Trump to veto it now that he’s asked Congress to pass it?

I don’t think so. And did you read my link on how it has been expanded beyond the original DACA? Only certain criminal convictions disqualify you. You just need to claim to have been here under age 17, up to four years before the bill’s passing, etc.

Already half of the 800k approved for DACA are reported to be fraudulent—and the fraud in this program is certain to be much greater.
