Funny. More amusing than "newsreader." Makes me think that the males should be called "broadcastrati" and the females "broadcastratrix."

"broadcastress" was intended to feminize broadcaster; however, unintentionally conflating it with "seamstress" changes the meaning to "one who makes up news". (As it was in the case of her report of "stealing shoe BOXES").

Maybe "broadcastress" will make its way into the Urban Dictionary? ;)
