The entire Florida Peninsula and points north are poised to experience Hurricane Irma after the storm hugged Cuba's northern coastline. Thousands of Floridians who evacuated the Atlantic cost to Gulf Coast areas found their safe shelter under direct threat from Hurricane Irma as the forecast shifted W Friday night and Saturday. Hurricane Irma's prolonged interaction with Cuba diminished its strength to Category 3.
Irma is forecast to increase in strength as it crosses the FL Straits. The Florida Keys experienced strong outer bands while Irma grazed the N Cuba coastline.

Rev. Jeffress was being interviewed last week and he said that he was in some meeting with PDJT recently, and Trump asked, “Don’t you think we should pray about this?” Rev. was laughing and said, “The President was reminding ME that we should pray!”
Last Sunday our preacher said he’s so proud of our President for calling for a National Day Of Prayer for the Texas flooding. (He usually stays away from political statements.) He said that, although there is an annual National Day Of Prayer always, he thinks this is the first time a president has stipulated a special one. (Not sure if that’s true or not. Preachers often “embellish” — “speak evangelistically” — if it suits their purpose.) ;)
I’ll have to look that up after all this is over. I remember working on some Unisys 286 boxes ages ago.
Jose doesn’t have much chance. It could sneak under but I just don’t see it yet.
I see, thank you :)
So, it becomes a question of which is the irrestible force, and which is the Moveable object, small smile.
Will she, and where, will she be moved back across the peninsula? Or might she persevere and head across the panhandle...
President Roosevelt called for a National Moment of Prayer on June 6, 1944 and designated an exact time.
Military keeps Unisys alive.

You are brave.
I’ll take a boat any day of the week and twice on Sundays!
Everyone went to their respective churches and synagogues across the country and prayed.

The bridge isn’t nearly as scary as it looks once you’re on it. Of course, if someone has “bridge phobia”, just the thought of it would make it unbearable, I guess.
The weirdest part is seeing the remnants of the old bridge next to it — the one that was knocked down.
...Killing a lot of people, at least some of whom would love to be rid of their dirtbag gov't.
Maybe you can find another nice vacation spot?
I will fly if for some reason it is imperative. But I hate every nano second of it, and am convinced that any moment the plane will get engine trouble and hurtle to the ground. I cannot shake that.
Maybe it’s because the first airplane I went on, a smaller one, when I was about 9, was with my father to visit my grandfather, and something went wrong with an engine and we made an emergency landing.
And now my imagination takes over.
God Bless our President. I am thrilled beyond
words at his growth spiritually and leadership.
God uses WHO HE will for what EVER purposes
He chooses, and most definitely IS using President
Trump right now.
Shame on some Evangelical Pastors who are still
dragging their feet and trying to be ‘ politically
correct”!!!!
“Rush lives in Palm Beach, which is an entirely different world from West Palm. Sorta like the difference between black and white, if you get my drift.”
I totally get the drift. My uncle was pastor of a church in West Palm Beach. Some of his parishoners were “the help” for the residents of Palm Beach.
