I don’t know
I've been watching that for hours, back and forth. Irma hasn't moved. Looks pretty.
That is the best yet! The storm hasn’t much chance to clear west. Naples, Tampa.
Thank you for posting that.
Amazing.
These guys at Colorado State (I like them) are forecasting North track for over a day. Just a degree or two West.

Not necessarily.
You’d be surprised at how little it takes to function at a basic level in this country.
They do miss a lot, sadly.
Peak forecast wind gust city-by-city:
Tampa: 139 mph (Sun. Night)
Orlando: 74 mph (Sun. Night)
Fort Myers: 134 mph (Sun. Afternoon)#Irma pic.twitter.com/9mxfEBqUep— HurricaneTracker App (@hurrtrackerapp) September 10, 2017
“By Saturday evening, the National Hurricane Center reported that Irma had begun its turn away from Cuba’s coast up toward Florida, moving at a relatively slow 9 mph (14 kph). The storm is about 115 miles (185 kilometers) southeast of Key West and is expected to reach the Florida Keys early Sunday.”
-This is CNN (no, seriously)
You gonna believe us or your lying eyes? It’s already turnt!
No, right on ritzy Palm beach.
Will Pray.((((Hugs))))
That is the only time I have ever heard of that happening and people were ignoring their warnings for a long time before that admission for that storm.
From a meteorologist POV, that was reprehensible and unconscionable.
I can’t even look at it...
Ah okay, the high pressure system posted in 513?
That is the system going to keep Irma from going across the Gulf to hit TX and LA as some were suggesting it could do.
Bless your heart! Prayers for all in Florida they have been under incredible stress more the last week and more to come.
God is Great and Merciful!
I’ve been watching the 3d wind site and I swear that thing has not moved in hours. Lots of dead on Cuba, I bet.
Yes, it looks like it.
I believe it was dirtboy who posted a graphic of that some days ago on the other thread.
With all the focus on Irma it kind of got lost in the shuffle, but it seems to be making a second try at the keys.
Kinda like pulling an Elephant with a rope. We shall see if Irma complies.
Amen ((((Hugs))))
Somehow I thought Rush’s home would be crazy big like the wild mega estates you see California moguls have, but from the air POV it looks fairly sedate (comparatively speaking).
The rotational speed of the earth at the equator is a little less than 1000 mph. The Speed of the earth at the average latitude of the Temperate zone is 733 mph. The wind moving east in the temperates is an illusion in that the air is not moving as fast as at the equator.
