The entire Florida Peninsula and points north are poised to experience Hurricane Irma after the storm hugged Cuba's northern coastline. Thousands of Floridians who evacuated the Atlantic cost to Gulf Coast areas found their safe shelter under direct threat from Hurricane Irma as the forecast shifted W Friday night and Saturday. Hurricane Irma's prolonged interaction with Cuba diminished its strength to Category 3.
Irma is forecast to increase in strength as it crosses the FL Straits. The Florida Keys experienced strong outer bands while Irma grazed the N Cuba coastline.

How big a house do you think a lot of these people have in Florida?
Grow up just a teensy tiny bit.
Defending people who often have no choice about a lot of this is not attacking you so drop your pretentious drama queen act.
Hopefully the Alligator Farm doesn’t flood...
That right there is a good reason to be shooting into a hurricane.

A brave black man with a tactical shotgun chasing off looters, and as he does, his black companions yell: "Mexicans! Mexicans!"
Yeah. Lots of clouds now, but we’re going to be alright when it’s over.
We’re playing tornado roulette in Brevard County today. Tornado warnings keep popping up. Most dissipate before hitting the ground, but at least one tore up Palm Bay. Six mobile homes destroyed, no one injured. Another neighborhood of houses was hit with one losing the second story and power poles snapped in two.
I love Free Republic.
Bravo!

That’s from Harvey not Irma
No, we don’t—Zella requires wi-fi, in either case. The kids have some old school walkies with a 1-2 mile range and 12 bands. I imagine there will be a lot of traffic and daisy chains on those networks. A friend of mine is manning the Ham station a Manatee Power, so we will keep up to date.
We saw a report with live video of two or three people being rescued by the Martin county sheriff from their tiny sailboat anchored in the Jensen beach causeway! I was like, wtf is wrong with these people? Unbelievably stupid. One of the folks looked about the size of a kid. God bless our first responders. It was quite sporty on the water.
There will probably be other stuff in the pool when this is all said and done.
I am giving you post of the day. Send that off to the BBC.
The dude mentioned Texas laws - this must be from Harvey and not Irma
Yep, the do hate Joe! He mocks them endlessly, its awesome to watch!!
Bill Nelson (D-FL) on TWC now. How does a senile ass like this hold onto a US Senate seat, aside from being a fully owned and operated puppet of some malevolent entity?
Excellent! I hope there are thousands more like him.
I’m hearing that all the internet companies are going to free wi-fi for the duration of the storm, and adding hot spots with COWs.
You can create a free Zello network just for your family and password protect it. It also has a dashboard that you can use from a PC.
